
Today our exploration took us to the Washington, Idaho and Oregon borders. We drove "The Old Spiral Road," which was part of the Lewis & Clark Trail. The drive to the road was just spectacular, and my pictures don't really do it justice. The fields are bright green with winter wheat, and the farms & barns are so interesting. Temperatures were in the low 50's, which was another treat for us. It's bitterly cold and snowy at home, so this is a good time to be gone. Tomorrow we will head for Seattle.

"Photos to Remember" is a second career for me, and I'm having a great time. In my other life I taught in our elementary school and had the opportunity to photograph school-related activities. One thing led to another, and upon retirement I was able to establish a photography business. People say I have the ability to work patiently with children, and I feel that being flexible and patient are key traits in this business. I photograph families, children of all ages, high school seniors, small weddings, sports teams, and other interesting projects that catch my attention.
